Week 161 in the war on lung cancer has passed. Here are highlights:

  • Dyanne started radiation for two of the three growing lung metastasis. The first radiation treatment was Friday and she will have two more rounds of treatment tomorrow (Monday) and Wednesday.
  • If all goes to plan, we will then be heading to Heidelberg where Dyanne will be treated with an oncolytic virus. The treatment requires a stay of around one week. So if anyone is out and about in Heidelberg, then please do get in touch and maybe we can meet up.
  • Dyanne is generally in good shape, but was a bit tired on Friday after the radiation treatment and also yesterday.

Dyanne turned 34 this week and attached is a photo of a birthday dinner with some friends yesterday.

I am currently on my way to Toronto where the World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) will take place in the coming days. As a warming up exercise, I have read through some of the research that will be presented and posted on twitter some of the more interesting results I have found. Anyone interested can find the tweets here: https://twitter.com/larshaakon. And tweets from the conference can be followed with the hashtag #WCLC2018.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
